Career Day 2017

The students in Mrs. Wise's 5th grade class share some of their reflections from Career Day.

Today was a fun day because it was Career Day. I got to meet three people and saw what they do for a living. The first session was a store manager at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. The second one was an Informational Technology Specialist, and the last one was a Water Resource Engineer. I can't pick which one was my favorite, however I am looking forward to next year's Career Day.

Today was Career Day and we each had three sessions to attend. Some of them we got to try food while other got souvenirs. I loved hearing about their jobs. In my sessions, I saw a plain clothes police officer, a flight attendant, and a business owner. I loved Career Day and can't wait to do it again next year.

Career Day is where I got to see adult's jobs through their point of view. First I saw a Prototype Model Maker for G.M. Next, I got to see a Athletic Sports Business Owner. Lastly I saw a Technical Operations Supervisor from Comcast. I learned so much and loved my first Career Day.

To me Career Day is about looking at jobs for the future. Also it lets kids get hands on experiences you would get nowhere else. Those are my thoughts about Career Day.
