Winter Fun

Just before Christmas, Mrs. Baker, a retired art teacher, came to teach Ms. Spence’s class how to make adorable snowmen. We had so much fun decorating and tinkering with these festive holiday gifts. We got to use a variety of different craft materials. Ms. Spence’s class used a regular sock, we then added rice into the sock, this was the “body” of the snowman. We used a rubber band to form the head. Next we added a baby sock as a hat. Then we put various other decorations such as button eyes, a nose, scarf, arms, etc. Some kids in our class gave them as a Christmas gift, others used it as a seasonal decoration. Our whole entire class thought Mrs. Baker did a wonderful job explaining the directions and giving us help when needed. We were so lucky to get to make our snowmen and each was so different! Our class was very thankful that we got Mrs. Baker to come visit us! We all had a wonderful experience and a great time. Overall it was AMAZING!
